Celtic Woman’s Eabha hits high note with bespoke country wedding

With so many special memories from her idyllic childhood summers in Clogga Strand, Wicklow was not only a place close to Eabha’s heart but also where she had always dreamed of eventually getting married. Luckily, like her childhood dream of becoming a star of song and stage, it was one we were delighted to help make come true for her.

So with Wicklow as their starting point, the lovely couple soon decided on Clonwilliam House in the Vale of Avoca as their venue, believing its mix of country charm and Georgian grandeur, made it the perfect location for their music-themed wedding day

Firstly, in a nod to those idyllic childhood summer’s, the couple hoped to exchange vows in a rustic barn on the grounds of Clogga Strand, a working farmyard building that they wanted transformed into a unique, romantic venue, with a stunning yet simple back-to-nature theme.

Creating the desired look and feel in such an unusual location was made a little challenging with Eabha away on tour so often. But thanks to Pinterest, WhatsApp and Skype she was always able offer thoughts and suggestions and sleep easy knowing her dream day would be exactly how she hoped it to be.

When the big day arrived, the transformed venue looked almost as stunning as Eabha walking down the aisle to the beautiful voices of Anuna. And thanks to the creativity and ingenuity of our flower arrangers, once the ceremony was finished, we were able to transfer the key arrangements and decorative pieces from Clogga Strand to the Clonwilliam, where the garland hoops and floral arrangements made a stunning addition to the dining room.
